So as all my comebacks start, I am seeing grand results from my efforts. It’s nice to have a clear head and be 100% focused on what I’m doing. Hopefully 2018 will be a better balance of model building and life.
Picking up where I left off, I checked in on the F-16 and F-15 to find promising results. My sanding skills have not dipped much in my absence which is quite encouraging. Just a small gap remained on the F-16’s spine. I sanded it out real quick and back to primer it went. Depending on where we stand with my results, I am thinking about installing the wings tomorrow.
The F-15’s air intakes look pretty good with some minor sanding left to pursue. I did notice a gap in the starboard side of the nose. I filled that and it will be the first order of business tomorrow. I would like to work on sorting out all the ordnance and various pods tomorrow as well. There are a lot of little projects that I need to organize so I don’t have any roadblocks along the way.
With my hissy fit over, the A-10 saw a multitude of progress in the last twenty-four hours. The decals were sanded away and with the gun cover fixed, it was time to paint. This time around saw the whole plane get a flat white skin. I will mask everything off tomorrow as long as the paint coverage passes all tests. The base will need to be started soon as well. I have all the supplies ready to go. It’s just a matter of getting started.
