I’m on vacation again and not working on my builds. I did bring them along though. Well, pieces of them. Fuel tanks and ordinance came with to get sanded yet have remained untouched. I might knock them out this morning or tonight. I figure I can take it a little easier only needing two builds to fulfill my year end goal. The cockpits did get nearly finished before I left so I’m not totally behind.
Although I have been absent from my hobby, it doesn’t mean that I haven’t been mentally checked out. We came to Ohio to visit the Columbus Zoo for our annual after Thanksgiving road trip. As luck would have it, the National Museum of the Air Force was on the way here. My son and I enjoyed ourselves perusing the many exhibits. There were many possible builds going through my head looking at all the aircraft that they have there. The one that stuck out the most was the F-82 Twin Mustang in the all black night fighter scheme. To make it easier for me, the gift shop enticingly stocks Monagram’s 1/72 kit. I purchased it and plan on taking it on for one of my next builds.
The rest of the museum was great. It never gets old going there for me. They are also building another hangar which means more aircraft to look at!
